自然出版指数最新排名我校列内地高校第十

 新闻网讯(通讯员 魏凤萍)据亚洲自然杂志网自然出版指数(中国)(http://www.natureasia.com/en/publishing-index/china/)消息,自然出版指数(NPI)最近一年(2014年2月10日至2015年2月9日)数据显示,我校以22篇论文(见表一)、5.72分的贡献点数,在内地高校列第10位,在全国科研机构中列第13位。

自然出版集团(Nature Publishing Group)每年发布自然出版指数(NPI,nature publishing index )。该指数以“纠正数值”(CC,corrected count)为指标,对各科研机构在《自然》及其17本系列研究期刊上发表的论文数进行计算,得出相应的贡献点数,并据此排名。它每周更新一次,记录过去12个月内发表的文章数据。

自然出版指数沿用的“纠正数值”,可理解为“贡献点数”。计算时,每篇论文为1分,假定每个作者在每篇文章中的贡献是等同的,分数归属其依托的科研机构。如果一个机构发表了10篇文章,而这些文章中来自该机构的作者占了65%,那么该机构获得的分数就是6.5。

新型网络周刊Nature China主编张文浩(Felix Cheung)曾指出:“《自然》杂志虽然涵盖了广阔的基础学科领域,然而对于应用科学、工程学、临床医学的空间相对有限,因此这个指数可以被看作高质量基础研究的指数,而非应用科学。”

另外,2014年11月,《自然》杂志首次以全新的“加权分值计数法”(WFC,weighted fractional count)指数方式发布了2014全球“自然指数”(Nature Index),12月推出了有关中国的自然指数“Nature Index: 2014 China”。我校在内地高校位列第20名,在全国科研机构中列第24位(见表三)。

“Nature Index: 2014 China” 分析了2013年1月1日至12月31日中国发表的论文情况,介绍了对高质量科研论文做出贡献的研究机构和个别研究人员。分析指出,“上一年,华中科技大学有109篇文章(加权分值计数为43.6)计入该校自然指数”。在武汉自然指数分析中,特别提到“来自光学与电子信息学院的缪向水和徐静平是华中科技大学自然指数的最大贡献者。其中,缪向水出版了四篇关于超薄膜的文章(加权分值计数为2.9),徐静平发表了两篇关于金属氧化物半导体的文章(加权分值计数为1.5)”。

据了解,自然指数与自然出版指数的编制原理相同,WFC即为CC加上权重,以调整占比过多的天文学和天体物理学方面的论文。入选自然指数的这两个学科领域的期刊,其所发表的论文量约占同领域国际期刊的50%,在比例上大致是其它学科的五倍。因此,发表在这两类期刊上的论文权重为其它论文的1/5。

自然指数是基于前一年各科研机构在《自然》系列期刊等68种自然科学类期刊(见表四)上发表的研究型论文数量进行计算和统计,每月更新一次。它追踪了约6万篇优质科研论文的作者单位信息,涵盖全球2万多家科研机构;提供了一个更广泛的数据库,来衡量不同国家和研究机构的科研实力。

68种来源期刊由全球在职科学家所组成的两个独立评选小组选出,分为化学、地球与环境科学、生命科学和物理科学四类。评选小组还通过一个大规模的全世界各大科研机构与高校的调查,对甄选出的期刊进行验证,科研人员根据期刊内容而不是影响因子认定这些期刊是最好的科研论文期刊。Web of Science数据库中,这68种期刊在自然科学期刊总数中占比不到1%,但其产生的引用量约占自然科学期刊总引用量的30%。

我校图书馆科技情报研究所相关分析人员认为,我校传统优势学科在工科和医科等应用学科;近年来,我校和科研人员开始重视在国际高水平期刊发表高质量学术研究成果,比如在自然科学三大顶级期刊Nature、Science、Cell上发表学术论文,在几乎为零的基础上起步,虽然积累时间不长,但取得了不俗成绩。2012年自然出版指数位列内地高校第六、全国科研机构第八;2014年自然指数进入内地高校前二十名。在两个指数中的排名,一定程度上反映出我校在基础研究领域和国际高水平学术成果产出方面的快速进步 。

分析人员对68种四类来源期刊进行研究发现,我校在物理科学和生命科学期刊的文献产出近年来增长明显,论文数量与排名靠前的其他高校越来越接近,特别是物理科学已经具备一定的优势;但地球与环境科学、化学的论文数量与其他高校相比还有差距。
